BERLIN, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- German customs officials seized 400 kg of heroin during an inspection in early December 2025, authorities said on Wednesday.
As part of risk-based inspections conducted by the Hamburg main customs office, officers examined a container from Singapore declared as carrying paper rolls for the printing industry. An X-ray scan revealed irregularities, and the drugs were found concealed inside the rolls.
Customs officials estimated the shipment's street value at around 32 million euros (38 million U.S. dollars), calling it one of the largest single heroin seizures in Germany in recent years. ■
