MOSCOW, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Twelve people were injured after a minibus crashed with two heavy trucks in Russia's Irkutsk region, local authorities said Tuesday.
According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accident occurred at the 124th km of the R-258 Baikal federal highway. The minibus was carrying passengers traveling from Irkutsk to Ulan-Ude.
The bus driver and 11 passengers were injured, with the driver in critical condition, the regional prosecutor's office said.
A criminal case has been initiated under charges related to the provision of services that fail to meet safety requirements, it added. ■
