MOSCOW, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Russia's annual inflation rate eased to 5.6 percent in 2025 from 9.5 percent in 2024, the Bank of Russia said Wednesday.
In a press release, the central bank said that food prices climbed 5.2 percent, non-food goods prices rose by 3 percent, while service prices increased by 9.3 percent.
Indicators of underlying inflation remained within an annualized range of 4 to 6 percent, the central bank said, adding that it will maintain tight monetary conditions to bring inflation back to its 4 percent target. ■
