ZAGREB, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Croatia's annual inflation rate eased to 3.3 percent in December, yet it remained the Eurozone country with the fourth-highest price growth, according to data from Croatia's Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) and Eurostat on Wednesday.

In December, services increased by 6.3 percent year-on-year, while prices of food, beverages, and tobacco rose by 3.1 percent. Energy prices climbed by 3.9 percent, the CBS said.

Nonetheless, December's inflation rate was lower compared with November, when it was 3.8 percent on an annual basis, the CBS added.

By comparison, the annual consumer price growth across the Eurozone stood at 2 percent in December. According to Eurostat, only Slovakia, Estonia, and Austria recorded higher inflation rates than Croatia last month.

The Croatian government has said it is helping the most vulnerable groups to reduce inflationary pressures and mitigate the cost-of-living impact.
