LISBON, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- One man died and four others were injured on Tuesday in a car accident on the EN255-1 national road near Moura, in the Beja district of southern Portugal's Alentejo region, according to the National Republican Guard (GNR).
According to Lusa News Agency, the GNR's Beja Territorial Command confirmed that all five victims involved in the accident are foreign nationals.
Among the survivors, three are in serious condition. Two of the critically injured were airlifted to hospitals, while the third and one person with minor injuries were transported by ambulance.
Preliminary reports indicate the vehicle was traveling toward Sobral da Adica when it veered off the road and collided with a eucalyptus tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. ■
