YEREVAN, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Armenia and Türkiye have agreed to simplify the visa issuance procedure for diplomatic, special and service passport holders, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday.
The ministry said in a press release that holders of the select passports from the two countries will be eligible to obtain electronic visas free of charge, effective starting Jan. 1, 2026.
The decision was made within the framework of the agreements reached between the special representatives of Armenia and Türkiye as part of the process of normalizing bilateral relations, it said.
Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the normalization process to achieve full normalization without any preconditions, the release added. ■
