WARSAW, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Poland's registered unemployment rate stood unchanged at 5.6 percent in November 2025, the same level as in October, according to official data released on Tuesday.
According to the Central Statistical Office, the number of registered unemployed rose to 873,600 in November from 867,300 in October. Meanwhile, newly registered unemployment declined to 93,000, down from 114,600 a month earlier.
In monthly terms, the October and November readings marked the highest unemployment rate recorded so far this year, official data showed. Analysts attributed the increase partly to seasonal factors, as temporary employment tends to decline with the onset of winter.
The data also indicated that long-term unemployment remained elevated, with nearly 47.4 percent of registered unemployed having been out of work for an extended period, underscoring persistent structural challenges in the labor market. ■
