MOSCOW, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Russia has completed the delivery of the latest batch of Su-34 strike fighters with improvements, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) said on Wednesday.
The UAC, which is part of Russia's state-owned aviation giant Rostec, said that the delivered model has completed all necessary ground and flight tests, with enhancement enabling more accurate and powerful strikes at ranges of several hundred kilometers.
According to the UAC, the Su-34 is designed to engage ground, surface and airborne targets, including those protected by air defense systems. In addition to strike missions, it can conduct aerial reconnaissance.
Vadim Badekha, CEO of the UAC, said production in 2025 has been finished as scheduled, and work on next year's production is already underway, noting that this year has been "one of the most productive in terms of the number of tactical aircraft deliveries." ■
