MOSCOW, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Sales of new electric vehicles (EVs) in Russia surged 57 percent year on year in November, the second consecutive month of growth, Autostat said on Monday.
The Russian automotive analytical agency said in a report that sales volume reached 1,602 units last month, with the Russian brand Amberauto selling a record 404 units and taking the lead in the market.
Another Russian brand, Evolute, came in second with 222 units. The top five also included Chinese brands Zeekr, Xiaomi and BYD, it said.
Sales from January to November totaled 11,200 units, down 31 percent from the same period last year, according to Autostat. ■
