MINSK, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The trade turnover between Belarus and Russia has increased by almost 30 percent over the past three years, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said here on Thursday.

At a meeting of the high-level group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, Overchuk said the two countries are expanding trade and economic cooperation, stressing that nearly all mutual settlements are conducted in national currencies.

Both countries maintain a high intensity of contacts at the regional level, which allows them to find new points of convergence for further cooperation, Overchuk said.

Dmitry Krutoi, head of the President Administration of Belarus, said trade in goods between Belarus and Russia reached 44 billion U.S. dollars in the first 10 months of 2025, with a growth rate of 1.8 percent.

Trade in services for the same period amounted to 6.5 billion dollars, increasing by 17 percent, Krutoi said.
