MOSCOW, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- A Red Wings Airlines Boeing 777 operating the Moscow-Phuket route returned to Moscow's Domodedovo Airport after an engine caught fire, the airport's information service said Wednesday.

"In this situation, we are taking all the necessary special measures," the airport said, adding that the aircraft landed at 22:53 Moscow time.

According to local emergency services, the emergency landing was prompted by a fire in the second engine, which has since been extinguished.

There were 412 passengers and 13 crew members on board, and no casualties were reported, said Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency.
