VIENNA, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Austria's inflation rate in November is estimated to reach 4.1 percent, up from 4 percent in October, according to a flash estimate released on Tuesday by Statistics Austria.
Prices for services continued to account for the largest share of inflation, rising 4.5 percent year-on-year in November.
"The so-called core inflation, which covers the aggregates industrial goods and services, remained at 3.4 percent as in October," said Manuela Lenk, director general statistics at Statistics Austria.
The energy sector showed the most significant price dynamics, with prices increasing by 10.9 percent in November, compared with 9.4 percent in October.
The category of food, tobacco and alcohol also saw rising prices, climbing 4.4 percent year-on-year in November after a 4 percent increase in October. Prices for industrial goods continued to grow moderately at 1.3 percent.
Annual inflation in the eurozone is expected to reach 2.2 percent in November, according to a flash estimate released on the same day by the statistical office of the European Union. ■
