LISBON, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Portugal's economy grew 2.4 percent in the third quarter compared with the same period last year, driven largely by domestic demand, the National Statistics Institute (INE) said on Friday.
Domestic demand made a positive contribution to economic growth, though smaller than in the second quarter. According to INE, the contribution rose to 1.4 percentage points, supported by stronger growth in private consumption and investment.
The government has projected 2 percent economic growth for 2025 in the State Budget approved in November 2024. ■
