PARIS, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Police opened fire on a man who brandished a knife at Paris's Montparnasse train station on Thursday, according to French media.
BFMTV reported that two people were injured: the knife-wielding man and a bystander. Emergency services treated both at the scene.
The Paris prosecutor's office said the suspect is known to authorities for previous domestic-violence cases. Police established a security perimeter around part of the station following the incident. ■
