MOSCOW, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a declaration on the transition of bilateral relations between the two countries to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, the Kremlin press service said Wednesday.
A meeting was held in the Kremlin between Putin and Tokayev, who is on a state visit to Russia, according to the press service.
They discussed further development of Russian-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as key topics of the regional and global agenda.
The press service added that a package of documents was signed during Tokayev's state visit. ■
