MOSCOW, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- A child was injured after an explosive device detonated in Krasnogorsk in the Moscow region, local authorities said Wednesday.
The boy picked up the device, which was disguised as a gift package with a 10-ruble banknote attached, on Tuesday evening near a local residential building, the Russian Investigative Committee said.
The device contained an explosive mass of up to 10 grams in TNT equivalent, it added.
The child remains in serious condition, according to regional health authorities.
A criminal case on attempted murder charges has been opened, and further investigation is underway, the investigative committee said. ■
