MINSK, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The fourth Media Woodchopping Championship took place on the shores of the Vyacha Reservoir in the Belarusian district of Minsk on Friday.
The event featured a festive atmosphere with friendly competition between 39 teams, including representatives from Belarus, Russia, China, and the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
At the opening ceremony, Natalya Eismont, press secretary of the Belarusian president, said this year's event saw a record number of teams.
Guests and contestants vied in various challenges such as woodchopping, "presidential-style" woodchopping, and relay races. ■
