ZAGREB, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Croatia's annual inflation rate stood at 3.6 percent in October, making it one of the Eurozone countries with the highest price growth, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reported on Friday.

Despite remaining elevated, the October reading marked a slowdown from September, when inflation reached 4.2 percent, according to the CBS.

In October, services prices rose by 6.4 percent year-on-year, while food, beverages and tobacco increased by 4.4 percent. Energy prices climbed by 3.9 percent.

By comparison, the Eurozone's overall annual consumer price growth was 2.1 percent in October. Only Estonia and Latvia recorded higher inflation rates than Croatia, Eurostat data showed.

Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Marko Primorac said the government remains committed to reducing inflation.
