BUCHAREST, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Three men were killed early Monday when a car and a van collided in western Romania, the local emergency services agency said.
The crash occurred around 5:00 a.m. local time (0200 GMT) on the national road DN 19E in Bihor county, between the villages of Sanlazar and Chiraleu, the Bihor County Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said in a statement.
Rescuers found all three occupants of the two vehicles trapped and unconscious. They were pronounced dead at the scene after being extricated from the wreckage, the statement added.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident. ■
