LONDON, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- British Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has resigned following a property tax scandal, local media reported Friday.
Rayner, who also served as housing secretary, stepped down after failing to pay 40,000 pounds (about 53,900 U.S. dollars) in stamp duty on her second home. (1 British pound = 1.35 U.S. dollar) ■
