BEIJING, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 172 km SE of Vilyuchinsk, Russia at 1157 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 23.6 km, was initially determined to be at 51.74 degrees north latitude and 160.03 degrees east longitude. ■
