ISTANBUL, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Türkiye hosted 26.39 million foreign visitors and earned 25.8 billion U.S. dollars in tourism revenue in the first half of 2025, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said on Thursday.
Noting that tourism income in the first half of this year increased by 7.6 percent compared to the same period last year, Ersoy highlighted that this revenue represented the highest six-month tourism income in the country's history.
"We are steadily moving toward our year-end target of 64 billion dollars," Ersoy said.
The highest number of visitors came from Russia, Germany, and Britain, respectively. The number of foreign arrivals increased by 1 percent compared to the same period in 2024, according to Ersoy.
By offering a diverse range of products, from health and nature to archaeology and gastronomy, the minister said, Türkiye aims to promote year-round tourism activities. ■
