MINSK, July 1 (Xinhua) -- The Oreshnik missile systems will be deployed in Belarus by the end of 2025, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Tuesday at a ceremonial meeting devoted to the Independence Day.
The newest Russian missile system will soon enter serial production and will be deployed in Belarus by the end of 2025, Lukashenko said.
Lukashenko said that he had agreed on the delivery of the complex with Russian President Vladimir Putin in April during a trip to Volgograd for an international patriotic forum.
Lukashenko expressed gratitude to the Russian side for assistance in deploying the weapon systems in Belarus. ■
