VILNIUS, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Lithuania will establish a national artificial intelligence (AI) center, dubbed the "AI Factory," to accelerate the development of AI infrastructure and innovation, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation said Wednesday.
The government has approved the ministry's proposal to launch the 100 million euros (113.44 million U.S. dollars) project.
Half of the funding is expected to come from the European Commission, while the Lithuanian state will contribute up to 50 million euros, with additional support anticipated from private sector partners. (1 euro = 1.13 U.S. dollar) ■
