BUCHAREST, May 5 (Xinhua) -- George Simion, chairman of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians, and Bucharest Mayor Nicusor Dan will advance to the second round of Romania's presidential election, scheduled for May 18.
The announcement follows official results published by Romania's Permanent Electoral Authority of the first round of voting on Sunday. ■
