BERLIN, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- The international system is experiencing a notable shift towards multipolarity, according to the Munich Security Report 2025 released on Monday.
The trend could be further accelerated after Donald Trump returned to the White House after four years, the report said.
The report, unveiled ahead of the annual Munich Security Conference, suggests that while the world is not yet definitively multipolar, power is increasingly diffused among a greater number of actors.
The Trump administration could accelerate the multi polarization of the international system as other actors will assume greater responsibility for certain regions or policy issues, said the report.
This year's report focuses on the roles of key actors in the emerging multipolar order.
For many people around the globe, a more multipolar world holds significant promise, it said. ■
