ANKARA, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Turkish security forces have detained 182 suspected members of the Islamic State (IS) over the past three weeks, said the country's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on Wednesday.
The operations dubbed "Gurz-31-32-33" were conducted across 22 provinces, including Adana, Antalya, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, and Izmir, Yerlikaya said on X, without specifying the time frame of the operations.
Among those detained, 43 individuals were formally arrested, and 24 others were placed under judicial control, he added.
The operations uncovered substantial evidence, including organizational documents and digital materials, he said. ■
