BUCHAREST, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Moldova appointed several new ministers Tuesday, with President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean highlighting priorities like European Union (EU) integration, public safety, and climate-adaptive reforms.
Vladimir Bolea became Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, while entrepreneur Ludmila Catlabuga took over as Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry. Daniella Misail-Nichitin, previously a state secretary, was sworn in as Interior Minister.
Sandu stressed advancing EU negotiations and improving institutional efficiency, noting the growing number of women in government. Recean commended efforts to fight electoral corruption and urged the new ministers to deliver results.
The cabinet changes follow Sandu's promise to recalibrate the government by year-end. The Recean administration began its term on Feb. 16, 2023. ■
