WARSAW, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- A 23-year-old German national suspected of establishing a neo-Nazi terrorist organization has been detained, the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) announced on Tuesday.
The arrest, which took place with support from German and Austrian special services, is part of an investigation into a right-wing extremist network aiming to dismantle Germany's current socio-political structure and replace it with a neo-Nazi state in eastern Germany.
ABW said that the suspect, Joerg S., faces charges related to establishing and actively participating in a terrorist organization aligned with armed neo-Nazi extremism.
According to the Polish Press Agency (PAP), as part of the ongoing German investigation, eight suspects have been apprehended. Searches have been conducted across 20 locations. Individuals linked to the group had undergone paramilitary training with weapons and acquired military equipment.
The detained individuals will appear shortly before Germany's Federal Court of Justice. ■
