BRATISLAVA, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Slovakia registered a record trade surplus of 4.5 billion euros (5.04 billion U.S. dollars) last year, the country's Statistics Office reported on Monday.
In 2023, Slovakia's exports grew by 5.5 percent year-on-year to 108.4 billion euros, while imports fell by 3.1 percent year-on-year to 103.9 billion euros.
Exports to other European Union (EU) members grew by 2 percent year-on-year, accounting for 77.4 percent of Slovakia's total exports.
Imports from the EU rose by 1.1 percent year-on-year, making up 64.9 percent of the country's total imports. (1 euro = 1.12 U.S. dollar) ■
