WARSAW, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Poland celebrated its Armed Forces Day on Thursday with a grand parade in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. More than 2,000 troops from various branches of the military marched through Warsaw.
The grand military parade set off at 2 p.m. along Wislostrada from the area of Sanguszki Street towards the south after a ceremonial changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.
Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk attended the event.
Several hundred units of military equipment took part in the parade, including Abrams tanks, HIMARS rocket launchers, and Patriot and Mala Narew anti-aircraft systems. ■
