VILNIUS, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte presented a reshuffled cabinet to President Gitanas Nauseda on Friday, proposing the replacement of the ministers of agriculture and health, according to a statement from the Lithuanian government.

Under the plan, Chairman Kazys Starkevicius of the parliamentary committee on economics would replace Kestutis Navickas as agriculture minister, while Health Minister Arunas Dulkys would be succeeded by Vice Health Minister Aurimas Peckauskas.

The other 12 ministers would remain in their positions.

In Lithuania, ministers are appointed and dismissed by the president based on the prime minister's proposals.

Nauseda appointed Simonyte as prime minister on July 22 and tasked her with forming the cabinet within 15 days.

The cabinet is being reappointed because the Constitution requires the prime minister to resign during the inauguration of a new president. Re-elected for a second term in May, Nauseda was sworn in earlier last month.
