WARSAW, July 1 (Xinhua) -- A passenger train collided with a truck near Poland's capital Warsaw on Monday, resulting in the death of the train driver and injuring a passenger, local media reported.
The accident occurred at a level crossing in Oltarzew, around 10 km west of Warsaw. A Masovian Railways train hit a semi-trailer carrying construction materials. The train driver succumbed to serious injuries, according to the Polish Press Agency.
Masovian Railways spokeswoman Donata Nowakowska said about 100 people were on board the train, one of whom was hospitalized. ■
