MOSCOW, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- The emergence of a new, more just global economic order is an "unstoppable" process, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday.
Russia's top diplomat made the statement during a year-end interview for the RIA Novosti news agency, where he summed up this year's results and Russia's strategic goals, and outlined the main trends for the year ahead.
"The shift towards a more just economic world order is, undoubtedly, unstoppable," Lavrov said, adding that the formation of a multipolar world had already begun.
Everyone is tired of the U.S. dollar, which has become an instrument of influence, a tool for undermining the legitimate competitive positions of countries in different regions and a tool that is being used to interfere in other countries' internal affairs and for regime change, Lavrov said.
He said that Russia will strive to develop relations with the "global majority".
Asked about the course of the country's special military operation, Lavrov reiterated that Moscow will continue to fulfill the goals that were set at the very start. ■
