BUCHAREST, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of the Save Romania Union (USR), the People's Movement Party (PMP) and the Right Force jointly announced here the establishment of the United Right Alliance on Monday.
At a press conference held at the Palace of Parliament, USR leader Catalin Drula conveyed optimism about the alliance's potential impact, describing it as "a special moment, a moment of hope for change in Romania."
The alliance positions itself as a formidable force determined to counterbalance the existing political landscape, offering a fresh alternative to Romanian voters.
Romania is currently governed by a coalition formed by three major parties: the National Liberal Party (PNL), the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR). ■
