VIENNA, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed after a small plane flying from Croatia to the Austrian city of Salzburg crashed in central Austria on Thursday afternoon, local police said Friday.
The Cirrus SR20 aircraft left the Croatian capital of Zagreb for Salzburg city at around 2 p.m. (1300 GMT) Thursday and crashed into a forest in the state of Salzburg at about 3:45 p.m. (1445 GMT), according to the police.
The victims have yet to be identified, and police investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
Austrian broadcaster ORF reported that flying condition in the state of Salzburg was "difficult" on Thursday afternoon with dense clouds and strong winds. ■
