BUDAPEST, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro agreed to strengthen the two countries' cooperation in several areas, they said in a joint press conference here on Thursday.

According to Orban, Brazil counts among the European Union's (EU) nine strategic partner countries. It is also a non-member partner of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Bolsonaro and Orban signed three agreements on defense, humanitarian cooperation, and hydraulic management and sanitation.

Orban listed several areas where the two leaders shared a common stance, which include migration, free trade, and military cooperation.

Bolsonaro also met with Hungary's President Janos Ader. Their talks focused on ecological issues.
