SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- A South Korean army staff sergeant was found dead on Monday at a military unit in the country's northeastern frontline county of Cheorwon, Gangwon province, according to Yonhap news agency.
A fellow soldier discovered the non-commissioned officer collapsed inside a base building at around 7:14 a.m. local time.
The sergeant sustained severe head injuries when he was discovered.
The military, in cooperation with the civilian police, was conducting a joint investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident. ■
