BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea at 1845 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 5.47 degrees south latitude and 152.15 degrees east longitude. ■
