ISLAMABAD, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Security forces killed five terrorists and injured four others during an intelligence-based operation in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Wednesday, security sources said.
The operation was conducted in Washuk district, where security forces targeted terrorist hideouts using advanced weapons, the sources told the media.
The injured terrorists were identified as members of the Balochistan Liberation Army, the sources added.
A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the hideouts, according to the report.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari lauded the security forces for the operation, saying that operations against terrorist elements seeking to undermine peace and security in Balochistan would continue. ■
