SEOUL, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Injuries were feared after a section of the ceiling collapsed at a South Korean supermarket on Saturday, prompting search and rescue operations, according to Yonhap news agency.
The incident occurred around 10:16 a.m. local time at the supermarket in Daegu, some 240 km southeast of Seoul.
Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene as individuals were believed to be trapped under the debris.
The police and fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the collapse after the rescue operations are completed. ■
