KATHMANDU, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Nepal recorded a 12.1-percent year-on-year rise in international tourist arrivals in September, the Nepal Tourism Board said in a report on Thursday.
A total of 88,248 international visitors arrived in Nepal in September, up from 78,711 recorded in the same month last year, according to the report.
Visitors from India accounted for the largest share of arrivals, with 17,425 tourists, which accounted for 19.75 percent of the total arrivals.
"The growth in arrivals reflects increasing global interest in Nepal and momentum toward promoting the country as a lifetime experience destination," said the report. ■
