BEIJING, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted southeast of Easter Island at 1531 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 41.44 degrees south latitude and 91.96 degrees west longitude. ■
