NEW DELHI, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Industrial production in India rose by 8 percent year on year in August, the latest data issued by the federal Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation on Monday showed.
In July, industrial production registered a growth of 6.7 percent.
The rise in industrial production was primarily boosted by the rise in the manufacturing sector and the electricity and gas supply sector in August, compared to the same month last year. ■
