SYDNEY, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in the southeast Australian state of New South Wales on Sunday morning, police said.
Emergency services were called to Putty Road, Mellong, about 110 km northwest of Sydney in NSW, about 1:35 a.m. local time on Sunday, following reports of a crash, police said.
Officers attended and located a single vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled onto its roof, NSW police said in a statement.
A passenger, a woman believed to be in her 40s, died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified.
Three other occupants, aged 44, 38, and 20, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to the hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced, NSW police said. ■
