HANOI, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's southern hub, plans to break ground on three more metro lines in the fourth quarter of this year, local media outlet VnExpress reported Tuesday.
The three lines will span nearly 90 km and require a combined preliminary investment of over 254 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 9.9 billion U.S. dollars). All three are targeted for completion by 2030, the report said.
Feasibility studies and approval procedures for the projects are underway, the report said, citing Ho Chi Minh City's Management Authority for Urban Railways. ■
