BANGKOK, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- A Thai fishing vessel capsized in the waters off Chon Buri Province, leaving three people dead and four others missing, Thai media reported on Tuesday.
According to Thai national daily Matichon, the boat carrying 22 people overturned late Monday amid severe storms. The Royal Thai Navy received the report early Tuesday and immediately launched a search-and-rescue operation.
So far, 15 people have been rescued. Three were confirmed dead, and four remain missing. The vessel sank to the seabed. The Royal Thai Navy and local fishing boats are continuing search efforts for those still unaccounted for. ■
