NEW DELHI, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Seven members of a family, including three children and two women, died when the car they were traveling in was swept away in an overflowing drain in India's central state of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, local police confirmed.
The car driver also died in the accident, police from Madhya Pradesh's Agar Malwa district said.
The victims hailed from the eastern state of Odisha and were returning home after offering prayers at a temple in Madhya Pradesh when the mishap occurred, the police said. ■
