JAKARTA, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian Navy on Monday sent a hospital ship on a 60-day humanitarian and diplomatic mission to four Pacific island countries.
The ship departed from Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta for Vanuatu, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, according to Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago.
During the mission, personnel aboard the ship will provide free medical services while promoting closer ties between Indonesia and the four Pacific nations. ■
