NEW DELHI, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- India's retail inflation rose to 4.82 percent in August, the latest government data showed Monday.
According to data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, the inflation based on Consumer Price Index (CPI) in August is 4.82 percent, up from 4.45 percent in July.
Food inflation in August rose to 5.95 percent, compared with 5.52 percent in the previous month. ■
